She was amazingly helpful. Starting out we had a tight budget in what we could afford for a house but whenever one popped up she made sure that we got to view it. We put in several offers but the sellers just wanted more than we could afford. We finally found a house we like a lot and had our offer approved. It was a long selling process given the fact that the sellers didn't have all their stuff together but she did everything possible to get things going quicker. She even helped us save a big chunk of change.

Three weeks after moving into semi-assisted living, my mom made this astonishing announcement: "I want to sell the house." I (her oldest child) was "floored," and had no idea where to start. But from previous experience with real estate transactions, my sister knew Linda and firmly recommended her. So we contacted Linda.

Three days later we were sitting around the kitchen table at Mom's house talking over the possibilities. Linda had done her research, and now that she had personally viewed the property, laid out a 3-option plan. Linda leaned toward the option that had the greatest potential for financial gain for Mom. Linda swiftly endeared herself to Mom. Not smarmy, condescending, or the least bit manipulating, Linda approached her as she would have approached her own mother. She was warm, matter-of-fact, and wonderfully real. And Mom approved the plan.

Linda predicted that we could do the project in a certain length of time. And, under her direction, employing her network of craftsmen, we "flipped" Mom's house in a mere month--just as Linda had said. This included all necessary demolition, new central heat and air, new windows, new flooring, new paint inside and out.

It was intense. But Linda very carefully watched the budget (again, as if she was doing this for her own mother), eagerly involving me in all major decisions and product purchases, and trusting my judgment on several matters.

Additionally, Linda's wealth of experience enables her to keep things light. She knows how things are likely to go, and "panic" or "sweating it" is just not in her professional vocabulary. She communicates. Not once did we feel "left in the dark." She is also the kind of person who can make it fun--and (due to the intensity) we needed that. She was an absolute delight to work with.

One final, amazing detail: Mom's house sold for exactly what Linda said it would. Given that and all of the above, the person handling all our real estate matters from here on out is Linda Grondona!
